Practice stilling the mind today

I know lots of folks will be posting about the marathon today.  I hope that with every interpretation,  we all remember that we are a strong nation.  It takes times like this to realize that we are all just HUMAN.  Did you know that?  No matter what you believe,  you and I are still just human.  Love your neighbor. Love yourself.  Be full of love and light today.  This is how we can support those in need after something like this.  With love.  I may sound naive,  but I do not care.

Here is a little portion of Light on the Yoga Sutras from BKS Iyengar.   Read it.  Think on it.  Practice.  Remember reacting leads to bigger reactions.  Just be patient,  wait, and be still and thoughtful of your words and actions.

"The journey from Yama to Pratyahara, described in sadhana pada, ends in the sea of tranquility,  which has no ripples.  If citta is the sea, its movements (vrttis) are the ripples. Body, mind and consciousness are in communion with the soul;  they are now free from attachments and aversions, memories of place and time.  The impurities of body and mind are cleansed, the dawning light of wisdom vanquishes ignorance, innocence replaces arrogance and pride, and the seeker becomes the seer."
